Simulated yardstick swap

Estimates elapsed time as if a different class/sail had been sailed — simulated time = elapsed time × entrant yardstick ÷ boat-raced yardstick. See the About page for when to use this.

This is an elapsed time, not a finished result. The Simulated Elapsed Time below is what you enter into your race results program as this entrant's elapsed time, under their nominal class (e.g. Laser Full, yardstick 114) — not the class they actually sailed on the day. That program then applies the standard yardstick correction to it, the same as it does for every other finisher. Nothing further needs to happen here.
