Module 2K.8 — Common Fleet
Series: Season Trophy — future

Data Status

Normal workflow: SAVE DATA downloads CommonFleetData.js. Put that file in this application folder, replacing the previous CommonFleetData.js. LOAD CommonFleetData.js loads a downloaded working-data file into the current session. CREATE ARCHIVE BACKUP is optional and downloads a dated CSV archive of all Series Results pages.

Common Fleet Module

One entrant list is shared by Championship, Pointscore, Sprints and PointsHCP. A registered entrant is therefore present in every series and defaults to DNC when not racing.

Season Setup

Set the club and season. Existing race data and results are retained.

Series Setup

Series Name is the visible seasonal name. Scoring Type determines how race places are calculated. Website Slot is the stable Results-page destination and does not change with the seasonal name.

Current scoring choices: Yardstick — corrected elapsed time using class YS. Elapsed / First Past the Post — places from raw elapsed time. PHP Handicap — reserved for a later stage.

Common Fleet Entrants

This single entrant list applies to Championship, Pointscore, Sprints and PointsHCP. Add or edit an entrant once here; every series uses the same record.

Race Entry

Every new race starts with DNC for every entrant. Enter Start + Finish, enter/edit Elapsed Raw directly as h:mm:ss, or replace DNC with another result code. A code may be used instead: DNC, DNS, DNF, RAF, RET, DSQ, OCS, BFD, DNE, DGM, UFD, NSC, DUT.

Entrant history: A new entrant receives a permanent E###### ID and is assigned DNC in all existing races they did not sail. Future races also default to DNC until a result is entered. Saved-race protection: Championship/Sprints retain the Yardstick used when each race was saved; later entrant YS edits apply to future races only.

PointsHCP — Next Race Setup — HCP / Advantage

Yardstick seeds a first-time HCP. Enter ordinary elapsed time; the saved PointsHCP race snapshot automatically adds the displayed Advantage.

Scoring rules Warning: Changing these rules will be applied to all past races. It is a Seasonal Change for ALL Series and ALL Races.

Shared by Championship, Pointscore, Sprints and PointsHCP. Entrants is everyone currently in the entrant table. Starters is an entrant with an elapsed time, or any code except DNC/DNS. Finishers is an entrant with an elapsed time only. Click a base to select it; the offset is added to that base.

Custom DNC: leave blank to use the selected DNC base + offset. Enter a number to override the formula and use that fixed DNC score in every race.
Fixed recognised codes: BFD = Starters +1; DNE = Starters +1; DGM = Starters +1; UFD = Starters +1; NSC = Starters +1. DUT is the average of the best prior genuine finishes (up to the configured number). If fewer exist, all available prior finishes are averaged; the decimal average is retained.

Race Officer View

This is the amendment/review stage. Edit any race-result cell; the entire race recalculates hot. Confirm or cancel before committing.

Race amendment view: Sail and Skipper stay fixed while the race columns scroll. DUT, custom DNC and the current scoring rules are applied by the scoring engine; series drops and final placing remain visible in Championship Results / Series Results.

Series Results

Website output: the download button generates the compact display from this preview. The Show all-DNC choice is carried into the generated file. The A8 diagnostic badges are RO-only and are not exported.

Add Entrant

A permanent six-digit entrant ID will be generated automatically.

Edit Entrant

Permanent ID is locked. Sail No., Boat Name, Class, Skipper and current Yardstick are editable.
